  • Morning Anchor plan
  • Bedroom Audit
  • Caffeine Experiment planner
  • Racing Thoughts Toolkit
  • Middle-of-the-Night Plan

Why the tips you already know have not worked

You have read the list. Avoid caffeine late. Keep the room dark. Put the phone down. Relax before bed. None of it is wrong, and that is exactly the problem — it is a list of things that are true in general, handed to someone who needs to know what is true for them on a Tuesday in November.

Generic advice fails for three reasons, and none of them is that you did not try hard enough:

  1. It was never your bottleneck

Cutting caffeine is excellent advice for someone whose problem is caffeine. If your problem is that your wake time moves by three hours at weekends, you can drink herbal tea from noon and change nothing.

  2. You changed six things at once

Which means that if the week went better you do not know why, and if it went worse you do not know that either. Nothing was learned, so nothing carried forward.

  3. Nobody told you what to do on the bad night

Every routine survives until 3am on a Wednesday. What happens then decides whether one bad night stays one bad night — and no tip list covers it.

The idea this whole thing is built on

Stop collecting sleep tips. Find out what is actually getting in the way of your sleep, change one thing, and keep what helps. That is the entire method, and it is why this costs $9 instead of pretending to be a course.

What Sleep Reset OS™ actually is

An interactive system you use in your browser, not a document you download. It asks about your real schedule, your real evenings and your real bedroom, then assembles the modules that apply to you — and openly leaves out the ones that do not.

Your Sleep Friction Map

These are the 8 everyday areas the system sorts into high priority, moderate, and unclear. They are descriptions of a routine, not conditions — nothing here diagnoses anybody.

Irregular Timing

Your sleep and wake times move around enough that your body clock never quite settles.

Inconsistent Morning Anchor

Your mornings vary enough that nothing is holding the rest of your schedule in place.

Mental Overactivation

Your mind is still running at full speed at the point where sleep needs it to slow down.

Late Stimulation

Your last hour before bed is topping your alertness back up instead of letting it fall.

Weak Wind-Down Routine

There is no run-up between your day and your bed, so sleep is being asked to happen on demand.

Sleep Environment Friction

Something in the room is interrupting you often enough to matter.

Caffeine Timing

Caffeine is still working at the point in the evening where you need it not to be.

Night-Waking Pattern

You are getting to sleep, but the second half of the night keeps breaking up.

No percentages, no scores, no "your sleep is 82% caffeine". The output is an order to work in, because that is the only thing the input can honestly support.

The part people use first

Tonight Mode

There is one button for the night you are having right now. You say what is happening, and you get three to five things to do — never more, never a wall of text, and nothing that needs a clock.

  • My mind will not stop.
  • I feel tired but not sleepy.
  • I woke up and cannot get back to sleep.
  • I feel physically restless.
  • Something in the room is keeping me awake.
  • I am worried about tomorrow.

Each one gives you a short read on what is probably going on, a few calm actions, and one thing explicitly not to do. It also tells you what to read tomorrow rather than making you read it at 3am.

What Tonight Mode does not do. It does not promise to get you to sleep. Nothing can. It lowers the stakes of the night, which is the thing that most reliably helps — and it is honest about that.

Your sleep data stays yours

Sleep information is health-adjacent, so this is built the careful way round.

  • Everything you enter is stored in your own browser, not on a server.
  • No account, no password, no email list.
  • Nothing you answer ever appears in a URL, so it cannot leak through history or referrers.
  • Your answers, notes and tracker entries never enter analytics. We count that a page was used, not what you said on it.
  • Your personal pages are excluded from search engines and from the sitemap.
  • Clearing this site's data deletes all of it, permanently, with no copy anywhere else.

The trade-off is real and worth stating: because it lives in your browser, it does not sync between your phone and your laptop, and clearing your data loses it. You can print or save your plan at any point. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

What Sleep Reset OS™ is not

Being clear about this is more useful than another feature list.

It is not any of the following:

  • A medical diagnosis, or any kind of clinical assessment
  • Treatment for insomnia, sleep apnea or any sleep disorder
  • A substitute for CBT-I, which is delivered by trained providers
  • Psychotherapy, or treatment for anxiety or low mood
  • Advice about melatonin, sleeping tablets or any supplement
  • A guaranteed sleep solution — no such thing exists
  • Emergency or urgent medical care

If your sleep has been a problem for months, if it is affecting how you function during the day, or if you snore loudly with pauses or gasping, please talk to a doctor. Start with when to see a doctor about your sleep.

One payment. Then it is yours.

Questions people ask before buying

Is this a subscription?

No. It is a single payment of $9. There is no membership, no renewal, no trial that converts into a plan, and no card kept on file for later.

Is this an ebook or a PDF?

No. It is an interactive system you use in your browser. You answer questions about your own schedule, evenings, room and sleep friction, and it assembles your plan around those answers. You can print the summary if you want a paper copy.

Will this cure my insomnia?

No, and anything that claims it will is worth being suspicious of. This is educational: it helps you organize your own habits into a plan you can test. Persistent insomnia is a clinical problem with proper treatments, and those are delivered by trained providers, not by a website.

How is this different from the free Sleep Friction Check?

The free check tells you which area to look at first and gives you three things to try. Sleep Reset OS builds the routine around it — your wind-down worked backwards from your bedtime, your morning anchor, your room priorities, a caffeine test, a 7-day reset, a 14-day plan, and something to open at 3am when it goes wrong anyway.

What happens to my answers?

They stay in your browser. There is no account, nothing is sent to a server, nothing goes in the address bar, and none of it enters analytics. Clearing this site’s data removes everything.

How long does it take to set up?

About five minutes. If you have already done the free Sleep Friction Check in this browser, those 12 answers carry across and it only asks the 12 things it still needs.

Do I need to track my sleep with a device?

No, and the tracker in here is deliberately loose. Six approximate fields in the morning, never during the night. Precise sleep tracking tends to make anxious sleepers worse, not better.

What if it does not help?

There is a 14-day refund window and you do not need to justify it. Email us and it is refunded.

Is this suitable if I am pregnant, or if I have a health condition?

The plan is built from general sleep-habit principles and is not tailored to any medical situation. If you are pregnant, taking medication that affects sleep, or managing a health condition, follow your own clinician’s guidance where it differs from anything here.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, and that is the assumption. Tonight Mode in particular is designed to be used one-handed, in the dark, by somebody who does not want to be reading.

Not sure yet? Start with the free check.

It takes about two minutes, asks for nothing, and tells you which area is worth your attention first. If that is all you ever use from this site, it was still worth building.
